Threading Success nails, reviews, skin care | (6)
So, I continued to be too lazy to go all the way over to Beverly Hills to get my eyebrows threaded today, but thanks to Yelp, I realized Gloss in Silver Lake does eyebrow threading too. Gloss is my spot for manicures, along with Fancy Nails in Los Feliz, when I can get in! But the reviews on Yelp seemed to indicate the threading at Gloss was pretty good, so I figured it was worth a shot. And I was really glad I tried it. Such A Knock Out nails | (0)
I'm going to get my nails did at Fancy Nails tomorrow. They look so broke right now. All chipped. Boo. I hate that. Something else I hate: Fancy Nails has the WORLD'S WORST selection of nail polish. It's seriously bleak. I so wish they had Knock Out Cosmetics nail polish. That would rock. KO's polish comes in Flatte, a black nail polish that starts flatte and wears into satin. They also have a flatte ivory called Powder and a flatte pink called Calamine. Here is an example of Calamine flatte with shiny tips from Dark Lamb on Tumblr. Hot!

Hair Of The Dog hair inspiration | (5)
I've been kind of distracted as our household gears up to adopt a new dog! This is all very exciting, but I have not had much time to think about hair. I know, what? Dogs are the only thing that can get my mind off hair, I guess. Maybe in the future I can write about dog-hair related issues? Like, what doggie shampoo is truly the bombdiggity? And what Los Feliz/Silver Lake dog groomers are totally the best? This could be a whole new avenue of writing material for HOTB! Also, little Ebbie gets here tomorrow!

I am sure you were all super, duper concerned with my recent post about the abysmal state of my nails... Well, you can all breath a huge sigh of relief because I got a mani, pedi AND an eyebrow wax at Fancy Nails on Hillhurst in Los Feliz today! *Sigh* All is right with the world...
