Are you guys watching The Real Housewives of DC? I thought it was going to suck, but it’s turned out to be awesome. I think an equally awesome show would be watching psych evaluations of Michaele and Tareq Salahi, though. I mean, those two!
On to the point of this post: Leslie Tyler Fink, is a well-known Houston socialite and star of the upcoming show Leslie & The Journey to True Love, as well as the next housewives reality show. (I tried to find out if that was a Bravo production, but her publicist wouldn’t tell me. Boo.) Leslie also has her own lip gloss line from Leslie Tyler Cosmetics, which has been worn on celebs like Taylor Swift, Jennifer Love Hewitt, LeeAnn Rhymes, Julianna Hough, and more. At first I thought this was going to be a vanity project for Leslie, but she has actually been involved in the makeup world for years and even trained top Chanel makeup artists.
The lip glosses are very high gloss and conditioning; they go on ultra shiny and smooth. Some are very pigmented, like Mint Cherry, which is a bright true red shade that smells minty. I use it sparingly because of it’s intense cherry shade, but I like it a lot. And it gives your lips that nice tingle and fresh mint scent. My favorite of the Leslie Tyler glosses is Mint Kiss, which is an extremely wearable sheer coral pink gloss with a hint of mint. I love this gloss! It’s makes a bare face look instantly polished. I used it a lot in Maui. I also tested Cosmo Pink, which is a slightly iridescent mauvey pink and Pouty Pink, which is a very cool iridescent baby pink, which might be perfect for some people, but is not my thing. In general, though, I really liked these glosses, especially the minty ones! As I said, at first I thought this line was going to be just meh, but the glosses are high quality for their reasonable price point of $12.00. You can order them online at leslietylerstyle.com.
