UNITE Shampoo & Conditioner

As you guys know, I got Hotheads Hair Extension, which are taped-in weft extensions, from Jordana Lorraine a while back. I love the fullness and length the extensions added to my hair, but the texture was a challenge for me to deal with because it was so different than my own hair. My natural hair is super soft and fine,ut b the extension hair texture was thicker, wavier, and more coarse than what I was use to caring for. It seemed like whatever products I put on were soaked up immediately, and the hair looked dull and not as shiny as I would’ve liked. (Remember, if you have taped wefts, never put conditioner above ear-level, because it will weaken the extension bond.)

A few weeks into having my extensions, I emailed Jordana about the hair’s texture and asked her if she had any advice for how to care for them. Jordana contacted her Hotheads rep for me, and the rep recommended using UNITE shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner to keep the extensions in the best shape possible. And Jordana was sweet enough to send me a set! Kisses, Jordana!

UNITE-Moisturizing-ShampooUNITE Moisturizing Shampoo really nourished my moisture starved hair and gave it back shine, without weighing it down. After using it, my hair was cleansed not stripped and soft and shiny. The shampoo contains glycereth, a lightweight moisturizer; Moringa Seed Extract, a color-locking antioxidant; and Botanisil, a thermal protector. UNITE Moisturizing Shampoo is free of sulfates, parabens, gluten, sodium chloride, Dea, Mea, and it’s 100% vegan and color safe. It’s super gentle and moisturizing, but doesn’t leaver my hair oily on the second day, like some moisturizing shampoos. It’s perfect for using with extensions, but I will definitely use it post-extensions too. Major thumbs up!

MOIS-Con-LargeUNITE Moisturizing Conditioner is also awesome. For a moisturizing conditioner, it’s very light-weight, but is full of nourishing vitamins and amino acids to increase the natural health and shine of your hair. It contains Vitamin A, E, C and B5 to moisturizes, repairs and protect; Moringa Seed Extract, and Botanisil. Like the Moisturizing Shampoo, it’s free of sulfates, parabens, gluten, sodium chloride, Dea, Mea, and it’s 100% vegan and color safe.

UNITE 7Seconds Leave-In Detangler is a spray leave-in conditioner that you use on damp, washed & conditioned hair. This stuff is perfect for my now super thick, kinda coarse hair. I use it when I am carefully detangling and combing out the extensions when they are wet, which if you have had extensions, you will know if a very important step! This spray seemed to perk up the look of my hair, making it appear more conditioned and shiny overall, and it helped it to feel more soft. You only need a few sprays per application–the bottle says 4-6 but I probably used a few more. It also protects hair from heat styling, locks in color, and has UV protector. Also, this product is suppose to be a favorite of Eva Longoria.  🙂
