How To: Copper Smokey Eye

I’m really psyched for the new fall eye colors trends. I hung out with Amber from Beauty Junkies Unite last night, and she was talking about some of the upcoming fall makeup look, and it got me thinking about new makeup. A whole new season is an excuse to try out (read: buy) new makeup. Yay! I’ve always loved copper shadow, so it’s just my luck that coppery metallics are on trend this fall. And over on my fav StyleCaster, celebrity makeup artist Jackie Gomez shares some makeup artists tricks for how to get the gorgeous smokey copper eye. Check it out:

Step 1: Sweep a shimmery white shadow over the lid from lash line to brow bone. Jackie uses Smashbox Single Eyeshadow in Oyster.

Step 2: Apply a copper shade to just the lid of your eye, a good one is Smashbox Shadow in Ambient.

Step 3: For a bit of drama, add a brown shadow to the crease of the eye. Jackie is using Jouer Cappuccino on the crease.

Step 4: Drag the copper shadow underneath the eyes as well with a brush to balance out the look.

Step 5: Rim the eyes with black liner and finish off with mascara! (I love bareMinerals Big & Bright Eyeliner in Intense Black and Buxom Lash in Blackest Black.)

The final look! I love it. So dramatic, yet totally wearable, yet she looks ready to kick some serious fall ass. Perfect! Also, I covet those eyebrows.
