Beauty In A Box: Summer Goddess

Sephora-Beauty-In-A-Box-Summer-GoddessBeauty in a Box #6: Summer Goddess from Sephora features a handpicked collection of Sephora Collection favorites, plus an easy to follow how-to guide. It’s a perfect all-in-one makeup palette to toss in your bag on the way to the beach or while on vacation. (So dreaming about our trip to Maui next month!) In just a few steps, you can achieve on-trend turquoise eyes and a gorgeous bronzed glow. The kit contains: two eye shadows in Swimming Pool Blue and Coppery Sun, eyeliner pencil in a stunning turquoise blue, Mascara Lash Plumper in black, Bronzing Powder, powder brush, eyeshadow brush, and step-by-step instructions.

My favorite part of this whole kit is the turquoise eyeliner. It is amazing! It is super highly pigmented and really lasts. Even though the directions suggest smudging the blue liner and shadow around the eyes for a dramatic look, I like to use it more sparingly, lining my lower waterline with the turquoise liner. Not extending all the way to the outer corners. I use this with a bit of the neutral shadow across my eyelid and then I use a very thin angle brush a make a tiny line with the blue shadow right at the top lash line. I finish with black mascara andadd a bit of the bronzer to my cheekbones. This is a very cool way to use blue shadow/eyeliner that looks modern and not as intensely b-l-u-e as the directions suggest.

I really love this look and the blue, which I have been dying to try, adds an interesting pop of color to my brown eyes. Looks awesome! I use my own higher-end brushes if I am at home, because any brushes you get in a kit aren’t going to be phenomenal, but these are good in a pinch and fit nicely into the kit. Beauty In A Box Summer Goddess Palette is a $50.00 value, but is only priced $36.00 at Sephora stores and
