Speaking of strange headgear, Sarah Jessica Parker wore an elaborate Philip Treacy hat to the UK premiere of Sex and the City 2. She paired it with a beautiful black Alexander McQueen gown.
Back at the 2008 world premiere of Sex and the City: The Movie Sarah Jessica Parker wore another eccentric Philip Treacy hat featuring a garden theme.
Which do you prefer? SJP’s black mesh hat or the garden themed butterfly hat? Or um… Neither?
I’m not a huge fan of SJP’s crazy headgear- in this case I like the black one better…but what I do love is how she takes these risks, and they’re always so fun. I noticed the girl smiling in the background in the first picture and I’m pretty sure she might be smiling at SJP’s fashion/hat-and that’s totally cool. If she takes a risk and it makes someone smile, I think that’s pretty awesome. 🙂
Sidenote…I fell in LOVE with SJP’s neon yellow Valentino dress that she wore to a premiere for the movie, and that you also featured. That dress was gorgeoussss and so, so summery. DEFINITELY one of my top five favorite looks of hers. She looked freaking amazing in it. I saved that picture for inspiration/when I just want to see something pretty. 😀
Brianne: I totally agree with everything you just said! I love her fashion risks too. In this age of stylists where everything is so safe, it’s great to see someone push boundaries… I always look forward to seeing what SJP is going to wear. She is always interesting! And I would die to see it up close and personal. How many celebs can you truly say that about? And I so agree about the Valentino. That was gorgeous. And you could tell she felt really fantastic in it.
I love her and her quirky-ness. She has a quality that makes her interesting to watch. She’s one of those actresses who has angles where she is absolutely stunning and angles where she can look plain. I think there is something about it that keeps me watching her. I don’t know–I just find her fascinating on screen.
I love the butterfly one! I think it is fun 🙂
