Lady Gaga was at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas yesterday (Jan. 7) to celebrate her new partnership with Polaroid. The Ga will be working with Polaroid as creative director to launch a new line of cameras that mix instant print ability with digital functionality. “I’m definitely a Polaroid camera girl,” Gaga said. “I really believe in the lifestyle and injecting the things that I love into [this]. For me, what I’m really excited about is bringing back the artistry and the nature of Polaroid.”
Gaga stressed that the partnership with Polaroid is not an endorsement deal. “We won’t be selling cameras with my face on them,” she said. “I’m working on bringing the instant film camera back as part of the future.” Polaroid hopes to have both old-school and digital products available by the end of the year. Pretty cool, but the real story here is obviously Gaga’s hat/hair. It’s so Hair Show. I love it!
You know, when she first came out I was like: “Dance music, not my style, *shrug*”. But then I listened to some of her music, and it’s really good. Girl’s actually got a voice. And then she started in with the fashion and hair insanity. And I now must admit that I kind of adore her. My world is better for Lady Gaga being in it. And I would love to be at the CES (for the yous, obvs) but to see how people react to that hair. I bet the double-takes are hilarious.
Chris: I feel like many people (myself included) had this experience with her. Like, at first we were very sceptical and thought she was just a fake, media sensation… but she stuck with the whole idea for long enough that people started to come around. She seriously bugged me at first, but now I love her over-the-top-ness. I reserve my right to get sick of her at any time, but for now, I’m digging her. And I like some of her songs too.
Okay, so I meant “for the toys” but I can’t type today.
Okay, you can lump me in with the few people who are still having a hard time digesting her and really don’t want to. I’m sorry guys…I just can’t do it and I promise I’m not going to cave!
Amber: Give it time, girl! Before you know it you’ll be singing to yourself: Papa Paparazzi without pants on.
The more famous she’s become, the more bizarre she’s become. I appreciate people wanting to be different but she’s become so OTT that I just stomach her… Sometimes I look at her and just think ‘she’s a few cards short of a full deck isn’t she?’
kiki: I wonder what she’s like in real life to her friends and fam? I like her because she’s pure entertainment for me. 🙂
