Speaking of cold weather hair, Rachel Weisz looks gorgeous all bundled up. She was snapped leaving her New York City apartment today (Jan. 14) on her way to a guest appearance on The View.
Rachel is on a promotional tour for her new movie The Lovely Bones. I kinda want to see that movie. I read the book a while ago, but I’m not sure I want to see it come to life. For one thing, I semi-hate seeing books I’ve read made into movies because they always change key things and it bugs me and takes me out of the story. (Really, any little thing can take me out of a movie; I have a hard time suspending my disbelief.) Also, the subject matter is pretty heavy. I do love Rachel Weisz, though, and Susan Sarandon, who co-stars as Rachel’s mother. However, Mark Wahlberg is in it, and I have still not forgiven him for The Happening.
Actually, I’m never going to forgive him for that movie. Not unless he drove over to my house and handed me $30,000. That’s what it would take; I’ve given it some thought. That movie was seriously the worst 91 cinematic minutes of my life. After it was over, I was in such a hurry to get out of the theater that I lost my favorite jacket. So that’s what it’s going to take to win me back, Mr. Wahlberg: $30,000…. Even though the jacket was from H&M and was only $19.00.
I fucking loved that jacket.
Rachel looks beautiful with her dark hair and porcelain complexion! *jealous*
I walk out of bad movies all the time, and sometimes if I leave within a half hour of the start, I get my money back. There are far too many excellent films out there to have to waste time on a bad one. If you hear that all your friends and favourite critics really loved the film, you can always rent. But you can’t get back those 91 minutes of your life! Next time you’re torturing yourself through a bad movie, just gather your things and leave. I have never regretted leaving a bad movie.
Jessica: If I had been alone I would have TOTALLY walked out. I agree. Life is too short. I think my bf feels differently about walking out of movies though. And… we have different opinions on what’s tolerable. 😉
Valerie: Heh, I’ve left people in the theatre! I wander around, get a coffee and people watch. I’ve found it’s more interesting than the films I’ve walked out of. But I know what you mean, it’s hard when you have differing opinions. 🙂
Jessica: I am notoriously super picky about movies! my bf hates it. if there is one thing that doesn’t make sense, I get stuck on it… bad acting bugs me, writing really bugs me. It’s hard for me to find movies I like! I’m also picky about books, but I find it easier to find books that I like.
When I am on my own, I’ve totally walked out of movies. Oh and bf and I walked out of Rachel Getting Married! Mainly because the shaky camera work was making me sick.
i loooveeeeeeee her!
And why does everyone hate the Happening so much? It wasn’t THAT bad, was it? I actually kind of liked it (but I did see it after all the bad reviews came out so I wasn’t expecting much).
yep: wasn’t that bad?? haha. obviously, I hated it.
