Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban attended the 57th Annual BMI Country Awards in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday night (November 10). And Nicole is back to red! She’s also another redhead celeb wearing red on the red carpet. Loves it.
Nicole looks tiny, gorgeous and frozen, as usual. I love her though. And she gives good quote. She told GQ magazine: “I’ve explored obsession. I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place, I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff, I’ve explored the mundane aspect of marriage, and monogamy.”
Of marriage she went on to say, “You work on it. It’s a very extraordinary, adventurous place to be: incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous and you’re very much out at sea. You’re exposed. You could drown.”
Oh, I have this love-hate thing with Nik. I love her performances, I hate her botoxed, “I’m better than you” face. But she does say some of the craziest s**t.
Chris, when I have seen her interviewed, she actually comes across really cool and sweet. So I think her face is just making that “better than you” expression? Or, um, not making that expression. 😉
she looks like she’s had another little facial tweak somewhere.. for the (slightly) better. still wish she hadn’t f’d with her face.
Kat, I thought she looked a lil’ different too. But in a slightly good way.
p.s. Kat, are you on Twitter?
no(t yet)! are you?
Kat, yes, yes! (http://twitter.com/haironthebrain)
I wish you were on.
it might be a tad silly, but i’ve maintained a mild boycott on things like myspace, facebook, twitter, etc. i’m inching closer to a facebook account to keep up with bands, local events and networking stuff for school, but i’m still really wary of it, for a few different reasons. aside from liking my privacy, i know so many people who are obsessed. there have been more times than i can honestly fathom that i’ve been hanging out with people, and they were so preoccupied with the need to log on that they couldn’t resist, and remained online for unsocialable amounts of time (and it’s not cause i’m boring, i swear!). i know that having an account is what you make of it, but i know i wouldn’t be totally immune to the addiction! i’m one of the last people on the planet to hop onto the bandwagon, but there’s so much douchbaggery, posturing, and self-centeredness involved, it just sours the whole thing for me. and then there’s the temptation to “check up” on exes, it’s just not healthy!
but…. what am i missing out on with twitter?
well, honestly in my “personal” life, I don’t use any of it either, so I feel you. I only have a facebook/twitter for HOTB, not for myself. I just wanted to see if you had a twitter so I could make sure I was following you because I love your comments. 🙂 Trust me, you’re not missing much. And I agree, I kinda think my life is better off without facebook? Like, I don’t want to login to find out some person I went to high school with is having a baby. Information I do not need to know. If we were meant to stay in touch… we would have stayed in touch! you know?
TOTALLY. we’re so on the same page there. and ditto on the comment love, you’re such a dedicated blogger, always responding to everyone’s silly random mental regurgitations, mine included 🙂 your blog is so much fun for me, it’s like a tasty treat with 0 calories, no portion control required. thanks for giving me a daily dessert that won’t make my ass lumpy.
Aw, Kat, you’re very welcome! I love being called a tasty treat. 😉
