Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray

Celebrity hair stylist Oscar Blandi regularly does the hair of high-end clients like Jennifer Garner, Reese Witherspoon, Katie Holmes, Jessica Alba, and many more. I’ve been a huge fan of Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Powder for years. But I recently got the chance to try out Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo Spray.

Celebs like Kelly Ripa, Jennifer Garner, and Sarah Michelle Gellar have sung the praises of this product. It’s perfect when you don’t have time to wash your hair, but still need to fight the greasies, or when you want to give your hair a break from washing and styling. By now everyone has heard that it’s not good to wash your hair every single day, right? This stuff is perfect for those in-between days. Both the spray and the powder form absorbs excess oil and leaves hair smelling fresh and clean with Blandi’s Lemon Verbena scent. This is also an excellent hair styling product for when you’re creating an updo–it gives gives hair immediate texture and volume.

Application can be kind of tricky. Be careful not to overdo it because you can be left with powdery hair. Here’s how to use:

  • First, shake the can very well before use.
  • Lift sections of your hair, and while holding the can 6-8″ away, spray product toward your roots.
  • Wait a few minutes for product to dry.
  • Use fingers to shake out the excess product.
  • If you want, brush through your hair at this point to evenly distribute.

Also, there have been some online complaints that the spray version of this product runs out too fast, and I have had experience with this myself. Shaking up the product really well before you use it is suppose to help with this. Overall, I like the powder form the best.  Price: 3.2 oz. / $21.00

[Edited to add: This ran out completely after two uses. Fail.]
