OPI is following up their Matte collection (which was sort of a love/hate thing) with a set of satiny metallic polishes. Suede by OPI is another reworking of existing shades, only this time they’re mattified with shimmer. (Yay!) Suede by OPI is available in six iconic OPI shades: Russian Navy, You Don’t Know Jacques!, Lincoln Park After Dark, Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees, OPI Ink, and We’ll Always Have Paris.
I like the Suedes much better than the Mattes–more dimension. Suzi Skies In The Pyrenees Suede is a cool steel gray.
Maybe I will do my nails in Russian Navy Suede when I get them done today? But blue nails always weird me out…
You Don’t Know Jacques is one of my favorite regular OPI shades. In Suede by OPI it looks a little bit more golden brown than taupe, however. I think I’d have to try it on my nails to be sure I liked it.
Suede by OPI is now available in salons including national chains like Trade Secret, Ulta, Regis, Beauty Brands, and JCPenney. Polishes retail for $8.50.
