On Sunday, Lindsay Lohan debuted as artistic advisor for Emanuel Ungaro as their Spring 2010 collection headed down the runway at Paris Fashion Week. The results were… interesting.
I seriously don’t know what to make of this. Was Lilo targeting the Jersey mall whore set? Of her collaboration with Ungaro’s new designer, Estrella Archs, Lindsay told reporters, “We both kind of mixed our (ideas) together, and that’s why it came out so well.”
The most baffling part of the collection were the large pasties stuck to many of the models’ foreheads. See more of Lindsay’s line with Ungaro, plus some backstage pictures of Lindsay after the jump.
Yep. Giant red pastie stuck to her forehead.
And, of course, heart-shaped pasties in the regular place too. Keepin’ it classy, Linds!
When asked if she had dreamed of becoming a designer, Lindsay told reporters, “Yes, I’ve always kind of wanted [it]. This is surreal right now, I don’t think it’s hit me yet. Maybe tomorrow, or in a week.”
(Or maybe when she sobers up in 10+ years and someone tells her about it.)
Why is she touching her face like that? Anyway. WWD called the line “an embarrassment” and called the clothes “cheesy and dated.” But Lindsay seems happy with her work, telling People that the fashion show was “certainly more than I could have imagined, more than I’d ever hoped for … I couldn’t be happier.”
