Part 2: Cosmedicine Review

A few weeks ago I reviewed Cosmedicine’s Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion SPF 20 and Private Nurse Recovery & Repair Cream. Check out both of those reviews, if you missed them.

Recently, I’ve been trying out two more Cosmedicine skin care products. First off, the Medi-morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator.

3.4 fl oz / $38.00

Medi-morphosis is an exfoliator with “stop-action crystals” that dissolve when they hit healthy skin for zero irritation.

I really liked this exfoliator. It’s my favorite Cosmedicine product so far. It smoothed my dry patches without irritation, which is huge. A lot of exfoliators I’ve used irritated my super sensitive skin. Perhaps this is because of the “stop-action crystals”. It’s cool, you gently rub in the exfoliator until you cannot feel the scrub anymore. It just dissolves into your skin, and then you rinse it off. It’s very easy to use. My skin was smoother and brighter immediately and not red or irritated. My only concern is how harsh this product is over long-term use because the exfoliating granules are sort of intense when you first apply them. But, this is still an A+ product. Just be sure to massage it gently into your skin.

I also tried out the Mega Moisture Mask Intensive Treatment with Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer.

2.5 fl oz /$38.00

This mask deeply hydrating mask is formulated with Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, a proprietary ingredient that holds up to 5,000 times its weight in water to plump and firm dehydrated skin.

I have combination/sensitive skin. More than half the products I try, I have a bad reaction to. To be honest, the “Mega Moisture” aspect of this mask scared me. I was sure it would be too heavy for me, and I’d break out in those dreaded little red bumps.

But this mask was the opposite of what I was expecting–it’s not a thick cream, it’s actually a light gel mask. I used it on my dry areas and it was very moisturizing, but not heavy at all. It refreshed my dry skin, gave a boost to my fine lines, and calmed my irritated skin. All in 10 minutes!
